Buccshot
Just like anyone on IRC, I have chatted with a lot of people. I never expected to find a mirror image of myself. Scott "Buccshot" Lalonde and I met on the channel #Friends and found that we had so much in common it was uncanny. We are both teachers of middle school students. We are the same age. Each of us has been married for 11 years and each have two children. We both love to build web pages and of course have shared ideas on the subject. Our view-points on the many topics we have discussed are very similar.
One of the projects that we need to work on is communication between our students. A type of cyber-penpal connection. His students have more accessibility to the computer due to the fact that "Lucky Lalonde" teaches computer-science and has a classroom full of computers. However, I am still writing grants and trying to get my class at least one computer hooked-up with e-mail and internet capabilities. Unfortunately, being an employee, I can't be the provider for my own school district :(
