John Quincy Adams Middle School is located in Maned Downs Subdivision of Metairie one block from the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain.  The school opened in 1967 and is accreted by the Louisiana State Board of Education and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  Presently, there are approximately 700 sixth, seventh, and eighth graders enrolled at Adams.

Adams is committed to providing a quality academic education to students in the middle years.  We strive to provide a safe and orderly environment where students have the same opportunity to experience success.  The curriculum is directed toward providing a well-rounded preparation for high schools and for life.
